Join us for an inspiring evening with local author, photographer, designer and tourism entrepreneur Kylie Bell, as she shares the stories, landscapes and hidden treasures behind her beautifully curated guide, 50 Incredible Destinations in Northern Tasmania.

From rugged coastlines to breathtaking wilderness, Kylie will introduce some of Northern Tasmania’s most remarkable local gems. She will also reflect on the experiences behind the book, the places that have stayed with her, and what continues to inspire her to explore her own backyard.

Meet Tasmanian author, photographer and designer Kylie Bell

Kylie Bell is a Tasmanian-based author, photographer and designer whose work celebrates the wild landscapes, hidden gems and unique experiences that make Tasmania extraordinary.

Founder of Lost Oar, Kylie presents her book, '50 Incredible Destinations in Northern Tasmania', alongside a collection of Tasmanian landscape photography prints. Released in late 2025 and independently published through Lost Oar, the book showcases Northern Tasmania's incredible landscapes, hidden gems, local insights and experiences. Written, photographed and designed by Kylie, it is the culmination of years exploring and documenting Tasmania's regions. Kylie's photography has been featured by Lonely Planet, Qantas Travel Insider and Tourism Australia.

Whether you're planning your next Tasmanian adventure, searching for a meaningful gift, or simply love photography and the outdoors, stop by to browse the collection, discover new places, and chat about Tasmania's hidden gems.

Join us for a special evening with Tasmanian author, photographer and tourism entrepreneur Kylie Bell.

Born and raised in Northern Tasmania, Kylie has built a remarkable career celebrating the region’s landscapes, creativity and sustainable tourism.

She is widely recognised for her work as a designer, writer and innovator, and her design work and photography has been featured in major publications such as Lonely Planet, Qantas Travel Insider and Tourism Australia. Kylie is also the founder of several pioneering tourism ventures and a recipient of the 2021 Tourism Minister’s Young Achiever award.

In her debut book, Kylie brings together her passions for travel, photography and storytelling to showcase 50 of Northern Tasmania’s most breathtaking destinations. From hidden gems to iconic landmarks, the book invites readers to experience the region’s raw, untamed beauty and discover new places to explore.

Copies of the book will be available for purchase from the Devonport Bookshop on the night - chat to Kylie as she signs them for you.
